Getting There

March 28, 2012

Good Afternoon, Mackrophiles!

Okay, so every day for the past week or so, I’ve been mentioning finishing up my review of Out With Dad. And every day without fail, I fail to produce said review. It’s going on two weeks. I suspect I’m just a little blocked. I’ve got so many little projects on the go, it’s hard to get just one or two finished in timely fashion, at least when my entire day is not my own to command. Such is the life of a cat owner.

So now I’ve completed virtually every task I had set out to accomplish before completing the review, save for conjuring up a receipt for the logo I finished designing yesterday. I figure I’ll take care of that in a few minutes. But that still leaves the review… which I won’t have time to get to until tomorrow, because I have dishes to complete before dinner. It never ends. I need people to start buying books and music and stuff from me, so I can afford AN ASSISTANT! Or at least a maid service. But an assistant would be great, because then I could set the ball rolling and let the assistant do the boring part of making sure the ball goes where it’s supposed to, while I go get the next ball ready.

Okay, that’s a lousy metaphor, and most folks don’t give a crap if I feel like I need an assistant. Which, in truth, I don’t. What I need is money. To pay the bills. To get a larger apartment. To fix my credit rating and buy a house. To maybe just get far enough ahead that I can finally think clearly about what I should be doing with my time, instead of all this octopoidal behaviour. I’ve been told all my life to focus on one thing, but when you’re not sure what that one thing should be, you try a bit of everything until the right thing comes along. You ARE supposed to do those different things one at a time, which is something I haven’t quite mastered, but I’m willing to learn.

Anyway,  just wanted to stop in and apologize for the delay. I just didn’t know what to say. I still don’t really, but I figured an apology wouldn’t go amiss.

Thanks for reading.
