Yet another Apology: Isn’t It A Pity, part 2

January 21, 2012

I’m sorry, gang. I’m kind of wiped out, stressed out and out of sorts today, so I didn’t have a blog prepared. The truth is, I’m kind of preoccupied with getting the art for a book done, and I’m too tired to think of anything pithy to write about today. I sometimes have ideas lined up, but today seems to be one of those days where what I really want to do is take a shower, curl up on the sofa and sketch dragons until one of them starts looking right. There will have to be quite a lot of soldiers, or at least two or three looking really convincing as an army of soldiers, as well.

All of this art may be academic, however, if I can’t figure out why I can’t get the page numbers to go into the book file properly. I’m not sure how I’m going to do this if I can’t crack the code, so to speak. I have other software, but I’m not looking forward to starting over and having a different set of headaches to deal with. If only I could find a book template that works, or a walkthrough that covers my problem. *sigh*

If I weren’t a designer, and a broke one at that, I’d seriously consider hiring someone to fix the problem. However, it’s just one problem, so I’m determined to sort it out for future use. Can’t let something as minor as pagination stump me.

I’ve got George Harrison’s ‘All Things Must Pass’ playing, so surely I’ve got enough fuel to conquer this problem. Surely?

Well, we’ll see. Then maybe we’ll see about getting an old book into print. Wouldn’t that be nice?

Eddie.
